Business growth occurs as a result of meeting opportunity with preparation.  The process begins with the assembly of a formal Business Plan.  The Plan has many purposes: documenting facts about the Company, establishing credibility with potential partner firms, analyzing opportunities and threats, attracting venture capital or investors, and pursuing commercial financing.

Small Business Growth Consultants, Inc. (SBGC) strives to assist business owners with all facets of planning and strategizing.  The relationship with clients often begins with their request for the preparation of a formal Business Plan.  We work together to research their industry, market, competitive environment, and current customer base to determine where to concentrate on growth.  A typical plan contains these sections in addition to financial history and projections.

All plans are written from scratch; no templates or fill-in-the-blank software is used because the client has active input.  S/he is able to present the plan as though s/he prepared it.


Once the areas of business growth are identified and prioritized, the development of a market strategy follows.  We conceptualize, develop, and recommend both short and long term strategies designed to maximize growth through higher profits and reduced operating costs.  We identify growth potential by building customer profile information and segmenting the market in order to attack it effectively.

Not all market strategies are sales related. Some are developed to position the company above the competition by investing in equipment, training, securing of personnel, and implementation of compensation plans. Designing and implementing effective sales programs required to fuel successful growth.   Understanding what motivates the buyer and how to set the customer's perception of the company must be thought out and then communicated in the best form.

Sales collateral such as brochures, pictorial sales aids, and correspondence are developed to support sales efforts. Integrating new product and service offerings must be accomplished without sacrifice to  existing products and services.


In addition to business planning and development of strategies, we perform a full line of services as required by the client. We respect the business owner that recognizes growth can be best accomplished when they develop resources that bring value to their firm.  We find them able to be more focused on areas of their expertise when they delegate tasks they dislike, or struggle to successfully perform.

The following services are offered:

Preparation of Correspondence - We prepare complex documents based on hand written, faxed notes, or brief conversations with the client. All correspondence is proofread and approved by the client prior to release to the intended recipient. In most cases, We possess company stationary and have authorization to sign letters on behalf of the client.
Preparation of Form Documents - Everything from application forms to inventory tracking documents are designed and loaded on software. All forms are designed to be easy to use and comprehensive in data gathering. Other forms provided are non-disclosure agreements and standard contracts.
Arbitration and Problem Resolution - When things go wrong or bog down, it's time for the client to step out of the situation and send in a consultant that understands the difference between emotion and fact. Expectations and authorization are discussed beforehand, and client communication throughout the process is priority.

Fees

Fees are normally quoted on a per hour or per project basis.  Other compensation arrangements may be considered.
